Cheng Wah was affordable and decent during our visit, but did not quite meet our expectations. The breast was slightly firm rather than silky, the drumstick was fine, and the rice did not have the aromatic punch we had hoped for.
Our original chicken-rice plan had not opened yet, so we switched to Cheng Wah in Lido. We had hoped for a memorable chicken-rice meal, but came away with a more moderate impression.
We tried both chicken breast and drumstick. The breast was not exactly dry, though its texture was a little firm and tough for our liking. It lacked the silky tenderness we had hoped for. The drumstick was decent, without becoming a dish that really surprised us.
A companion who had eaten here previously felt the rice had been more fragrant before. That comparison was their own return-visit impression. From our meal, we also did not find the rice especially punchy or aromatic, although we could not independently judge a change over time.
Value was a stronger point for us. At the time of the visit, prices were around RM9-RM10, which felt more affordable than many of KK’s famous chicken-rice stops. That price belongs to the visit, rather than a current menu guarantee.
We would describe this meal as decent and reliable, not bad. It simply did not deliver the standout experience our expectations had suggested. The reasonable price was a plus during that visit, while the chicken texture and rice aroma left us less impressed than we had hoped.

精华海南鸡饭这次吃下来，价钱亲民，整体不错，但没有预期中惊艳。鸡胸不算干，却稍微偏韧，鸡腿稳妥，饭香也没有特别突出。
原本想去的另一家出名鸡饭店还没开，我们就转到丽都的精华冰室。带着对这一餐的期待来吃，结果整体感受比较平实，没有想象中惊艳。
这次试了鸡胸和鸡腿。鸡胸不算干，不过肉质稍微偏韧、偏实，没有我们希望的滑嫩感。鸡腿表现尚可，但也没有让人特别惊喜。
同行、以前吃过的朋友觉得，饭香似乎以前更浓一些。这是朋友自己的前后比较。就我们这次吃到的饭来说，香气也没有特别突出；我们不会因此把品质下降当成客观结论。
价钱是我们觉得较亲民的一点。当时大约 RM9-RM10，和亚庇一些出名鸡饭店相比，感觉负担较轻。这是那次的价位，并不是现在的菜单价格。
整体不差，是可以吃得稳妥的一餐，只是实际体验没有完全达到我们的期待。当时价钱合理是优点，鸡肉的嫩滑度和饭香则还没有到让我们特别喜欢的程度。
