One Wheat was a recurring choice for sour, refreshing pickled vegetable fish noodles. The braised beef noodles were another favourite, and the soup-filled xiao long bao were especially enjoyable with ginger and black vinegar.
When we wanted something appetising, sour and refreshing, One Wheat Café at Taman Tai Tet was a place we returned to. The dish that most clearly answered that craving was the pickled vegetable fish noodles, whether with mee or beehoon.
The broth had the sour, refreshing character we enjoyed. It woke up our appetite and made it easy to keep eating. The fish slices were fresh and tender, giving the bowl another reason to stand out beyond the soup alone. Of the dishes we knew here, this was our strongest recommendation.
Braised beef noodles were a close alternative. We liked the well-marinated beef and the flavourful broth. Choosing between that bowl and the pickled vegetable fish was often the difficult part of coming back: one offered the sour freshness we were craving, while the other had a beef-and-broth combination we also enjoyed.
The Shanghai soup buns deserved a place alongside the noodles. The first bite released plenty of soup, which was exactly the part we liked. Ginger and black vinegar were our preferred accompaniments, and that combination made the buns particularly enjoyable.
Other snacks on the menu looked appealing, but our enthusiasm belongs to the dishes we actually tried. For a return visit, the pickled vegetable fish noodles and soup buns would be our clearest choices, with the braised beef noodles still very much in contention.

想吃一点酸香、清爽又开胃的东西时，我们常会想到 Taman Tai Tet 的一粒麥子。这里最让我们惦记的是酸菜鱼面，配面或米粉都很合心意。
酸菜鱼的汤喝起来酸爽，很开胃，也让人不知不觉继续吃。鱼片新鲜，肉质嫩，不只是汤底讨喜，鱼本身也有加分。这是我们在这里最想推荐的一碗。
红烧牛肉面同样很喜欢。牛肉腌得入味，汤头也有味道，所以每次回来，经常会在它和酸菜鱼之间犹豫。想要清爽酸香时会选酸菜鱼，想到入味牛肉和汤头，又很难放下另一碗。
上海小笼包也是这餐的亮点。第一口咬下去就涌出不少汤汁，配上姜丝和黑醋，是我们很喜欢的吃法。面食之外加一笼，吃起来更满足。
菜单还有不少看着吸引的小点心，不过没试过的就先不评价。以我们吃过的来说，再来最想点的是酸菜鱼面和小笼包，红烧牛肉面也一直是很有竞争力的选择。
