Sinsuran Sang Nyuk Mee (新苏兰生肉面) - Lintas

Sinsuran Sang Nyuk Mee at Lintas Plaza was one of our recurring choices when we wanted a familiar bowl of Sabah pork noodles. It was the sort of place we naturally thought of, rather than a meal that needed a special occasion.

Most of the time, our order was pork slice and meatball mihun soup. The pork slices were tender, the meatballs had a pleasing bounce, and the bowl brought the comforting Sabah-style flavour we kept returning for. That familiar combination was the main attraction for us.

We sometimes chose dry noodles instead. Those were savoury, with a springy texture that we enjoyed, especially when paired with a bowl of soup. The dry and soup orders offered different ways to enjoy a meal we already knew well.

This Lintas outlet also became somewhere we brought visiting friends, including friends from West Malaysia and Australia. For us, it was a reliable way to introduce Sang Nyuk Mee through a place we personally returned to and felt comfortable sharing.

That does not make it a universal claim about the best Sang Nyuk Mee in Sabah. It explains its place in our own routine. When we think of this outlet, we think of tender pork, bouncy meatballs and a familiar bowl of mihun soup, with dry noodles as another dependable personal choice.
