We loved the tangy, savoury Zao Cai soup at Foochow Garden, but the Hong Ngan noodle texture was not for us. We’d try it with Kampua next time; the rich braised noodles were another positive.
Foochow Garden felt tucked away in a residential part of Donggongon, with a strong neighbourhood atmosphere. It was the sort of hidden local stop where the surroundings felt as much a part of the visit as the meal, and the owner was friendly.
The Zao Cai Hong Ngan came with a soup we really enjoyed. It was tangy, savoury and full of flavour. The broth was the reason we would want to come back, but we were not fans of the Hong Ngan noodle texture itself.
For our own next order, we would choose Kampua with that soup instead. That is a plan for another visit, not a noodle combination we had already tried. The soup and noodles left us with different impressions, and both matter to the verdict.
The braised noodles were another highlight. We liked the rich, dark sauce and the satisfying chewy texture. It was a stronger match for our noodle preferences during this meal.
Kompia had sold out, so we did not get to taste it and left it on the list for a future visit. The Cincau Susu was refreshing and not overly sweet, a welcome drink in the heat. Parking was limited when we went, so finding this tucked-away spot took a little patience.

福州园的糟菜汤酸咸够味，我们很喜欢，只是粉干的口感不太合我们喜好，下次会想换 Kampua。另一道卤面酱汁浓、面条 Q，也是这次的加分项。
福州园藏在 Donggongon 的住宅区一带，很有邻里小店的感觉。第一次找过来，会觉得位置有点隐密，不过老板友善，让人放松。
糟菜粉干的汤底是我们很喜欢的部分。酸味、咸香都够，喝起来很有味道。但粉干本身的口感，我们就没有那么喜欢。汤很好喝，不代表这款面条也刚好合我们的胃口。
所以下次再来，我们会想保留糟菜汤底，换成 Kampua 试试看。这个搭配是下次的想法，这次并没有吃到，不能先替它下结论。
另一道卤面就比较对我们的口味。深色卤汁浓郁，面条也卤得入味，吃起来 Q 弹有嚼劲，是这餐另一个让我们满意的选择。
原本也想吃 Kompia，可惜当天已经卖完，只好留到下次。Cincau Susu 清爽、不太甜，天气热的时候喝很舒服。当天停车位有限，加上位置比较隐藏，过来时要多一点耐心。
