Narumi gave us a quiet, comfortable setting for a fuss-free weekend family lunch. We liked the fragrant Genmaicha and the just-right set portions, though the food we tried was fairly standard.
This was a casual weekend family lunch at Narumi Izakaya in Promenade Hotel. We wanted something simple after a period of festive, heavier eating, and the comfortable, quiet setting suited that mood.
We ordered lunch sets with hot Ocha or Genmaicha. The tea was one of the things we specifically liked: fragrant, soothing and pleasant to drink alongside the meal. The set portions were just right for us, neither so large that lunch felt heavy nor so small that we wanted more.
The food itself was fairly standard from what we tried. That is the balance of this visit: the atmosphere and ease of the meal were more memorable than any especially exciting dish.
We are usually keen Tori Karaage eaters, but deliberately skipped fried chicken that day. We also did not order à la carte dishes. Our verdict therefore covers the lunch sets we had, without extending to Narumi’s Karaage or wider menu.
At the time, lunch sets started at around RM23. That is a historical price from our visit, rather than a current offer.
For us, Narumi worked as a quiet, fuss-free alternative when we wanted a change from our usual Japanese restaurants and an easy meal with family. The Genmaicha, comfortable setting and just-right portions were its strengths during this visit; the food itself stayed fairly standard.

这次只是一个随性的 Weekend Lunch，带家人到 Promenade Hotel 的 Narumi Izakaya。前阵子吃了比较多节庆大餐，所以想吃简单一点，安静舒服的环境蛮适合当时的心情。
我们只点 Set Lunch 配热 Ocha／玄米茶。茶的香气不错，喝起来舒服，是那餐我们特别喜欢的部分。套餐份量也 Ngam ngam，不会吃到很撑，也不会觉得太少。
至于味道，整体就是中规中矩。比起哪一道特别惊喜的菜，这次留下印象的，反而是安静的空间和轻松吃顿饭的感觉。
平时我们很喜欢点 Tori Karaage，不过那天刻意跳过炸鸡，也没有点 A la carte，所以这里不评价 Narumi 的炸鸡，更不把这次套餐体验扩大到整份菜单。
当时 Set Lunch 大约 RM23 起，这只是那次用餐的历史价格，不代表现在还有相同价钱。
如果想换个地方、带家人安静吃顿简单的日式午餐，我们觉得它是一个不麻烦的选择。玄米茶和刚好的份量有加分，食物本身则维持中规中矩的评价。
