Taro Black Milk Tea was the drink we’d order again at TEASEN City Mall, with silky taro flavour and tea that still came through. Jasmine Perfumed Lemon Tea was the fragrant, refreshing alternative.

We found TEASEN near Tealive at City Mall when it had been open for only a few months. The small shop and friendly owner made it an easy place to stop and talk about tea.

The owner told us about studying tea-making in China and spending around a year developing recipes and adjusting equipment. The high-pressure extraction approach was described to us as a way to preserve the tea’s aroma. That was the owner’s explanation of the process; our own verdict came from the drinks.

The Taro Black Milk Tea was a strong favourite. It was a Lunar New Year limited item at the time, and our order used the Honey Roasted base with 75% sugar. We found it silky, with a pronounced, premium-tasting taro flavour and natural sweetness. The tea still came through, which helped the drink feel balanced to us. The sugar level was our own order, rather than a setting everyone needs to choose.

Jasmine Perfumed Lemon Tea was the refreshing alternative. Its aroma was noticeable, and it suited a hot afternoon. According to the business, Malaysian fragrant lemons were used in the drink.

The space was intimate, with about three small tables and heart-shaped wooden stools when we visited. We enjoyed the friendly conversation, but it was the taro milk tea that made the strongest impression. We would look for it again if available, while keeping the lemon tea in mind for something lighter.

我们在 City Mall 的 Tealive 附近发现了 TEASEN 茶品，当时店才开了几个月。小小的空间，老板也友善，停下来喝茶、聊一聊，感觉挺舒服。

老板和我们分享，自己曾到中国学制茶，也花了大约一年调整配方和器材。关于高压萃取，老板说目的是保留茶香。这些是老板介绍的背景；我们对饮料的看法，还是以实际喝到的感觉为准。

芋香奶茶是这次很喜欢的一杯。当时它属于新年限定款，我们选的是 Honey Roasted 茶底，75% 糖。入口滑顺，芋香浓，有我们喜欢的质感，甜味也自然，而且茶味没有被完全盖掉。75% 是我们这次自己的点法，大家还是可以照个人喜好选择。

茉莉香水柠檬茶则走清爽路线，香气明显，热天午后喝很舒服。店家介绍用的是马来西亚香水柠檬，这属于他们提供的原料资讯。

店里当时大约只有三张小桌子，配上心形木凳，空间不大但温馨。我们喜欢老板的亲切，也更记得芋香奶茶喝起来的感觉。下次如果还有供应，会想再点；想换清爽口味时，则会考虑茉莉香水柠檬茶。
